About Us

Rockvale has been in local fisherman Neil MacPhail’s family for the last three generations. The croft came to the MacPhail family after the First World War when the crofts of Balephetrish were allotted to returning servicemen on the Club System. At this time the crofts were all given names, Parkhouse, Hillview, Hillcrest and Rockvale to name a few. The surrounding croft is now rented out to a local crofter and used for beef cattle.

Rockvale will be let as a self catering house during the 2026 Scottish school holidays. These lets are for the whole house which sleeps 10-12 guests.

During term time en suite bedrooms can be booked with shared access with other guests to the conservatory, dining room and kitchen facilities.
